Lavielle Maspero

Hi! I’m Lavi! I am a master hair colorist, hair & makeup artist and creative director currently based in Dallas (soon to be Los Angeles). While I have been in the beauty industry as a professional for about a decade, I have been an artist my entire life. Picking up a pencil to draw at age 3, I was selling my sketches to family members by age 5. Making a career out of being artistic as an adult was very on brand for me. 
Being from the Deep South where your identity is heavily centered around gender and racial norms, I often felt like an alien and out of place but when I began to just see the mediums of beauty as art instead of a service, I not only found solace and new found confidence…I found purpose.
From fine art to cartoons and anime to music to fashion to film to nature itself, I find inspiration everywhere and use the depths of my mind to conjure unlimited possibilities for every facet of my work that garners people’s undivided attention.
I believe it is truly a gift to be trusted to mold someone’s bare form into something greater that inspires others. That is what art is, no matter the medium. I put genuine passion into everything that I do, as it is not just my work but a part of me that is going out into the world via someone else.
