Lavielle Maspero

Hi! I’m Lavi! I am a master hair colorist/stylist, makeup artist and creative director currently based in Los Angeles. While I have been in the beauty industry as a professional since 2015, I have been an artist my entire life. Picking up a pencil to draw at age 3, I was selling my sketches to family members by age 5. Making a career out of being artistic was very on brand for me. 
Being raised in the Southern United States (Georgia and Texas), your identity is heavily centered around gender and racial norms. I often felt like an alien and out of place however when I found that beauty services could also be classed as an artform, I not only found solace and new found confidence…I found purpose.
From fine art to music to cartoons and anime to fashion to film to nature itself, I find inspiration everywhere and use the depths of my mind to conjure unlimited possibilities for every facet of my work that garners people’s undivided attention.
I believe it is truly a gift to be trusted to mold someone’s bare form into something greater that inspires others. That is what art is, no matter the medium. I put genuine passion into everything that I do in life as it is far too short for regrets and only I am a representation of myself.
Outside of my talents in beauty I dabble in other forms of artistic expression. A photographer, screenwriter, film director...I also am a singer-songwriter, composer and producer for my alternative metal band 'IVAL'.
